PATRICE HAMILTON-OTTEY

Patrice Hamilton-Ottey is the co-owner of the Eastern Shore Driving Academy . Her energy and creativity led to the creation of the company in 2007. She is originally from New Jersey , but has lived in Worcester County since 1994. She attended Salisbury University before coming to work for the Ocean City Police Department. She was employed by the Department for ten years.

Patrice worked as patrol officer and supervisor in the Patrol Division. She also spent many years as a detective and narcotics investigator. Her efforts led to the creation of the Department's Domestic Violence Unit.

Patrice served as a certified trainer for the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy in Salisbury . She also organized and led classes training children in crime prevention and self defense.

Throughout her career Patrice received numerous departmental recognition and commendations. She left the Department to begin the process of starting the Eastern Shore Driving Academy.

Patrice volunteers at the Showell Elementary School with their Accelerated Reader Program. She served her community as a foster parent. Since she has lived in Worcester County, Patrice has provided a home and mentored ten children.

Patrice is married and lives in Berlin with her husband and daughter. They are expecting twins later this summer.
