JANN JONES

Jann is a retired police officer who began his career in 1980. He retired from full-time duty with the Ocean City Police Department in 2007. He is currently the senior “behind the wheel” instructor for the Eastern Shore Driving Academy . He also teaches driver education, driver improvement, and point system conferences in the classroom.

Jann is originally from Salisbury . He attended Salisbury University. Jann's training in traffic safety is vast. Early in his career he was trained in Basic and Advanced Accident Investigation. Through the years, he was also trained in Advanced Accident Reconstruction Techniques, and Collision Analysis Reconstruction.

As he developed his skills in accident investigation and reconstruction, Jann received further training in Critical Issues in Crash Reconstruction, Pedestrian and Bicycle Reconstruction, Event Data Record Crash Documentation Analysis, and Traffic Homicide Investigation.

Jann also has many years of experience in speed enforcement including stationary and moving radar, vascar, and laser speed enforcement. He has been qualified as an expert in both Worcester and Wicomico County courts.

Jann has three grown children and two grandchildren. He lives in Parsonsburg.
