BARRY NEEB 

Barry Neeb is the co-owner of the Eastern Shore Driving Academy . He is originally from the Philadelphia area. He moved to the area in 1980 when he was hired by the Ocean City Police Department. Barry graduated as a Presidential Scholar from Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Criminal Justice. He was the Valedictorian of his recruit class at the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy in 1981.

During his career with the Ocean City Police Department, Barry has worked in the Patrol Division and Community Services Section. His patrol responsibilities included membership in the Department's Traffic Safety Unit. He received training in Basic and Advanced Accident Investigation from the Institute of Police Traffic Management . He was also certified as a breath testing technician by the Maryland State Police.

Barry was the co-creator of the Ocean City Police Department's RAAM Project, the Department's underage drinking prevention initiative. His expertise in this field has afforded him then opportunity to conduct nationwide training to law enforcement personnel on underage drinking prevention and enforcement.

Barry is a two time recipient of the Governor's Award for excellence in the field of crime prevention. He has also been recognized as “Officer of the Year” for the Ocean City Police Department in 1987 by the Mayor and City Council. He was also selected as “Officer of the Year” by the Knights of Columbus in 2007.

Barry and his wife live in Berlin . They have a daughter who attends Stephen Decatur High School , and a son who attends West Virginia University .
